Two genres where there hasn’t been a huge representation from the biggest little state are in music competitions and reality dating shows.
That could change after upcoming auditions for the well-known “American Idol” and the new “United Dates,” a United Kingdom-based television show seeking “good spirited and outgoing” single men and women.
For shooting in Providence, Rhode Island Casting Inc. is asking singles ages 21-40 to try out for the show where “The U.K. is coming to date the U.S.A.” It’s from the producers of GoUSA. To be considered, submit contact information (phone and email), current headshot/photo and resume/bio, a video sharing about yourself, and a favorite thing to do in Providence to [email protected]. The subject should be “United Dates//(your name).”
