I’ve always been interested in older audio/video effects and formats. When I first got the call from
Sue Foley about the possibility of making this video with her, I had been working on producing video
effects using a vintage graphics supercomputer workstation by Silicon Graphics Inc from the late
90’s. In this computer I found I could manipulate some of the lesser-known software to produce
pretty unique effects... even for today. I also incorporate analogue elements into the mix by feeding
the Silicon Graphics machine analogue signals from an even older technology, a 1980’s circuit bent
video effects processor.
I thought this might be a perfect way to express what Sue was describing to me in her quest to bring
songs and sentiments from the past through time and space into the present. I hope you enjoy this
