Leveraging AI and NVIDIA GPUs to Advance Research in Crop Production
Researchers around the world are taking advantage of AI to speed up their simulation workflows and get deeper insights—achieving what wouldn’t have been possible with traditional approaches. Researchers at the University of Arizona (UoA) are leveraging machine learning and NVIDIA GPUs to view, measure, and track plant growth. This allows them to do predictive modeling to identify traits that will fare better under different weather. Without machine learning and GPUs, it would be nearly impossible to process the over 10 terabytes of images generated every day to track the growth of hundreds of plants.
