Youtube's 4K and 60 fps options have been made possible at very little extra bandwidth cost thanks to VP9, which is their new video compression standard (which is similar to h265 tested in this video). I've chosen to show h264 and h265 because they're much easier to get hold of, running the same video through different settings in handbrake at medium quality.
