This short tutorial covers baking with cage files in Substance Painter and how to create them in Maya. This is a super awesome technique that will keep that Hi-fidelity detail on that low poly mesh. I use this all the time, especially when working with organic shapes such as rocks, trees and crystals. Baking mesh maps can be really difficult and I hope this short video helps you figure out how to get the most out of Substance Painter!
