How to paint a 3 Purple Crocus painting, my watercolour marker time lapse. This watercolour marker painting shows the whole process, from the early washes of purple on all three flowers to the detail needed for the veins of the flower petals. I share the full step by step painting, with commentary explaining all my decisions along the way as I paint the Spring flowers in the grass background.
I used Winsor and Newton watercolour markers on this picture, mainly for the fine brush tip and because they are quality watercolour pens that hold a lot of lightfast pigment.
I used Quinacridone Magenta, Dioxazine Violet, Cadmium Yellow Hue and Sap Green markers.
