Camera Sensor Neutral Density Filter // STC Optics Clip-in ND Filter Update
In today's video on camera sensor neutral density filters, I give an update on using the STC Optics Clip-in ND filter.
I briefly stopping using the ND filter in February when I bought the Sony A7RIV. Sony changed the cabin size surrounding the sensor, which means the STC Optics filters that I made a video on last year no longer fit. I unfortunately discovered this when one got stuck inside my A7RIV, requiring me to yang it out with pliers, which broke the ground glass while over my sensor. Truly a nightmare as I though I had destroyed the sensor on my brand new camera. Thankfully I was able to safely clean it off.
Now, STC Optics has released updated filters to fit the A7RIV and A9II, and they have a number of improvements.
