**Note: Its a tad unfortunate that for this Swiftech Boreas 360 kit review, the Ryzen 9 3900X's new boost and voltage behavior resulted in some really wacky temperature behavior. What didn't really come thru in the benchmarks though was the overall clock stability improvement gained from running this, as well as the overall quality of the components used in this kit. Swiftech packages some really good stuff with this so if you're considering this kit, fret not.
So we had this in the pipe ready to be edited upon returning from LTX 2019, and here we are. Special thanks to our resident CG watercooling expert HomeBrewedHero for comin by and helping out! Also special thanks to Swiftech for sending over the Boreas DIY liquid cooling kit and EZ-DIY for the RGB strips, sleeves, and combs! Its been a long time coming but finally with the new Ryzen 3000 series dropping, the time was now to upgrade to something modern and the Ryzen 9 3900X was my CPU of choice. This thing should be able to handle everything I throw at it and more! Gaming, streaming, editing with Premiere/Photoshop/After Effects/etc...all of it! And probably all of it all at once too i bet haha. Anyways, games benchmarked include Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, Player Unknown's Battlegrounds, The Division 2, Splitgate: Arena Warefare, and Apex Legends with synthetics consisting of 3dMark Firestrike, Timespy, Cinebench R15, Cinebench R20, and Adobe Premiere rendering. For Premiere, we also compared this 3900X to the 12-core Threadripper 1920X as well as a Xeon E5-2667v2, i7-3770k, and Ryzen 2700X. Hope you guys enjoy this vid, pull up some popcorn and chill out!
