This is an extra part I recorded to accompany the original four-part series (which also has more than a dozen other videos to complement it), designed to give beginner DJ's an overview of the industry. In this section, I talk about stage presence, using live sets as demos, not planning sets in advance, LED lighting, stage monitors, radio receivers, optimizing your laptop for performance, iDJ2, sound cards that let you cue, how many channels your mixer should have, waveform displays on CD players, and Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Music.
I did not do a blog post for this specific video, however, here's the main blog post which is the cornerstone for all the reference information in the series:

Unfortunately, as of early 2014, YouTube annotations are not visible to mobile viewers, only to users watching on desktop browsers. I use annotations quite frequently to post clarifications and additional information during the video. For the best educational experience, you might prefer to watch this video in a desktop browser rather than on mobile, unless YouTube eventually fixes the mobile annotation deficiency.
If you like the sound of any of the tracks played during the breaks between sections, I've got all of them available as free downloads. Go to SoundCloud and do a search for: "dj bolivia global underground"
