Textures, layers, and time—every painting I create is a reflection of the many versions of myself that have existed. This piece, my last painting for the AIDS fundraiser here in Toronto, carries all of those fragments. And maybe, it will be my last one for this purpose.
We are never just one person. Throughout life, we shift, adapt, and leave parts of ourselves behind. This artwork explores that transition—the way different identities take over at different moments.
