Christians need to be careful when they are studying biblical prophecy, so that we aren't caught interjecting our own doctrine into what scripture actually teaches. You can only prove that something is prophetic only after is has happened. It's important to study scripture on a daily basis, and yes, we should always study prophecy. But the bible gives strong warnings about adding to or taking away from the Word of God.
