Johnny Gandelsman performs "Rhapsody" for solo violin, a new work by cellist and composer Tomeka Reid, written for Johnny's "This Is America" commissioning and recording project.
This concert was presented by the Philharmonic Society of Orange County (Irvine, CA)
"Rhapsody" was generously and jointly commissioned by @pcmsconcerts The Philadelphia Chamber Music Society (Philadelphia, PA); Portland Chamber Music Festival (Portland, ME); Laura & David Freid, in loving memory of Christopher Marrion.
"This Is America - An Anthology 2020-2021" album comes out on July 1st, 2022.
