The caliber BA101.10 is a high-grade, 8-jewel, 10 ligne 262.144 kHz UHF quartz movement that achieves an accuracy of ±10 seconds per year (or ±0.027 second per day), which is eight times greater than a standard quartz movement.
The second hand ticks at 16 beats per second, which makes it extremely smooth. To give you a comparison, most Rolex or other high-end watches only have 8 beats per second.
The Lobster is a heritage piece from 1970, which was originally a diving watch. I just love the vintage / retro 70s design. There is also a chronograph version available, the Bulova 96B236 Accutron II .
