✈️How to get 60 minutes FREE PARKING at STANSTED AIRPORT | Driving on the M11 | Stansted Services ✈️
✈️To remove the risk of having to pay to park at Stansted Airport if you are only picking someone up or dropping them off please watch this video for our hints and tips.
✈️We will explain where to park at Stansted Airport FOR FREE if you are picking up someone or dropping them off.
✈️We will also offer a suggestion if you think you may go over the 60 minutes but don’t want to pay any parking fees.
🚗We start the journey on the M11 motorway southbound
☕🍴When we make this journey, we always stop at the M11 services, so we can pop to the loo and if we still have time to kill have a drink and maybe a snack.
🚗The postcode for the M11 Stansted services is CM23 5QZ.
🚗The journey in the video took place at 20.45 on Tuesday 14th September 2021.
😎These services allow you to park very close to Stansted Airport for up to 2 hours for free. This gives you the opportunity to kill time before either the relevant flight lands or your passenger needs dropping off.
🚗Once it is time to leave the services we will be heading to the Stansted Mid Stay Car Park.
👍👍Stansted’s Med Stay Car Par allows for free parking for up to 60 minutes for drop off and pick up.
✈️If you need longer than 60 minutes, use your entry ticket to pay at the machine prior to exit
• Up to 2 hours £5.00
• Up to 24 hours £30.00
🚗It is junction 8 on the M11 motorway to get to the services and to Stansted Airport.
🚛When entering the services, ensure you are not in the lorry lane, it is easy to do. Cars and other vehicles need the road just after the yellow bollards.
🌞We are at the airport today, to collect our daughter from her flight. So the plan is to keep an eye on the airline's app and to leave the airport at a leisurely pace once her plane has landed.
😀Her plane has now landed, so we will now make the short journey to Stansted Airports Mid Stay Car Park for some free parking.
🚗The postcode for the Mid Stay Car Park is CM24 1PZ
✈️In regards to Mid Stay drop off and pick up, anyone that needs to go or come from the terminal will have to catch one of the free regular shuttle buses.
✈️If you want to be closer to the terminal and not mess about with shuttle buses, there is an Express Set Down Car Park.
• You have to stay with your vehicle
• Up to 15 minutes costs £7.00
• Over 15 minutes costs £25
🚗Once in the Mid Stay Car park you will be signposted towards the relevant section for free drop off and pick up.
🚗The signposts within the Mid Stay Car Park call it the FREE SET DOWN.
The location of Free Set Down may change, but for this trip it was location K
🚗In the free set down location, you are able to leave your car unattended, for example, to help your passenger with their luggage.
😀😀😀Our daughter is now in the car, so time to exit the car park.
🚗If you are within 60 minutes you have to present your ticket at the exit, ANPR will recognise your car.
🚗However, if you have exceeded the 60 minutes, there are pay machines to the right of the barriers.
🚗Then we head back to the M11
