Why 2D Artists Should Learn AI
I put this video together in order to share:
1) some of the steps and stages behind the images I generated,
2) organize my initial thoughts about Ai, and
3) wonder about how the character design rigging and animation process could be impacted by Ai.
There has always been a funny relationship between Art and Technology. Honestly, I think you can't have one without the other. I've been using different AI powered tools and I've been delighted and surprised by what I can do with it. From what I can gather, the real challenge is not the tech itself, but learning how to adapt to it. It's got a long way to go but it's already headed in some truly promising directions.
I begin this video with my thoughts about the relationship between art and technology told through the help of some Ai tools. I pasted my written draft into Chat GPT, and edited the result. I used Eleven Labs for the narrator's voice. The visuals were mixed over a couple of weeks in Adobe Premiere.
