Through this process it often raises dilemmas they are facing and will impact their financial decision making. Proving guidance on these points is a key role of planner.

Every day, and in every client interaction, financial advisers face ethical decisions. In whose best interests they operating in? Are they recommending the best investment? Do they know enough about their client to be giving this advice?

The Ethics Centre has produced a new textbook to support advisers and academics as they work through the new education and professional standards.

Everyday Ethics for Financial Advisers offers practical ways to apply ethics frameworks to real-life scenarios. The textbook, available in hard copy or online, is intended to be a long term companion to help advisers develop their ethical muscle. Available from all major online book retailers.
