Hotaru Koi, is a Japanese lullaby about the wonders of the Firefly. Fireflies have been a metaphor for passionate love in poetry since the 8th century. The Bon Odori festival, observed in mid August throughout Japan celebrates the return of ancestor's souls to earth. Hotaku Koi is commonly sung while in the pursuit of these twinkling summer visitors
This acapella by BBC has 12 voices and 3 parts. This song is so beautiful and intelligently written that a simple displacement unison lines leads to a magical ripple and a cascading effect carried from one group to the other (Its kinda trippy if you observe carefully).
