Over 300 children released from armed groups in Yambio I UNICEF South Sudan
On the International Day against the Use of Child Soldiers, UNICEF sent out a strong message against the recruitment of children in armed forces and armed groups across the world.
UNICEF and partners recently supported the release of over 300 children, 87 of them girls, from armed groups in Yambio, #SouthSudan. However, 19,000 children are still in the ranks of armed forces in the country. More still needs to be done. #RedHandDay #ChildrenNotSoldiers
