Kiowa Down - Emergency Landing in a Firefight | DCS World
Flying the OH-58D Kiowa over Afghanistan in DCS World - our job was to patrol the area around a US base. We spotted some Taliban fighters armed with small arms and machine gun mounted on a pickup truck. During the fight the aircraft took damage and we had to put her down right in the middle of the firefight. Thankfully friendly forces were right around the corner.
In this mission we are not using the MMS, the mast mounted sight. The Kiowa is armed with rockets and the gun.
