Hey everyone, in this week’s video we’ll make a beat from scratch on the Teenage Engineering OP-1, plain and simple! Most, if not all of these sounds are presets from the OP-1 internal engines that I’ve slightly tweaked to taste.
My main focus here in this beat is making sure there is plenty texture within the stereo field. That tends to be how I create a sense of space in my OP-1 music, and keep it from sounding dry.
