all right so slasher fans I've got a fun one for your weekend movie night and that's peacock's latest sick I'm telling you this movie was a damn roller coaster ride so essentially it follows a couple of friends quarantining at their family's secluded lake house only to have an unexpected visitor threaten their lives more than the pandemic instantly the whole let's make a movie during 2020 really turned me off but they weave it into the story fairly well and surprised me with it being from the same writer of the original scream its DNA feels similar a little splash of the strangers and shook up the predictable formula that I thought just another slasher would take and damn was this brutal like the thrills or gnarly some cringy acting but the finale had my jaw on the ground I thought it would be crap but this was a heck of a fun time
