Karatedo - The art of empty handed combat
Presented is one of the Kata of the Shotokan-Ryu Karatedo. Both fists are put together along the edge of the hand, and with a movement, that can be described as pushing aside clouds, the partner’s attack is blocked. This motion is followed by an intense exchange of techniques of offense and defense that further evolve, much like clouds in a thunderstorm. The techniques are freely adapted and newly created, throwing the partner with a Mawashi-Geri, rotating with a kick after applying a Mikatsuki-Geri and then make an Ippon-Nukite, Keitô-Uke, using feints or real attacks, speed and strength. With its jumps, this is a very complex Kata.
