Generate REALISTIC ROCKS in Blender 3D | Rock Generator Add-on
In this tutorial you will be learning how to use Blender's rock generator which is part of an add on. In just under 2 mintues, you will be able to create loads of automatically generated rocks fitting any purpose.
To add a rock 3d texture, you can either create your own (in this case you could find plenty of interesting tutorials to accomplish this) or download a texture from a providing website. By typing ''download rock 3d texture'' in you navigator you should be able to access websites supplying this type of data. Along these search results you could encounter Poly Haven which is widely considered as one of the best texture-supplier out there. The downloaded file has to be unzipped.
I then recommend enabling the ''Node Wrangler'' add-on. The next step is to create a new material, select the Principled BDSF, pres SHIFT+CTRL+T and select all images in your uncompressed texture folder. Once done, the material should be done and the texture downloaded should appear on your mesh.
