26th Week of ordinary time (II), Mon, Job 1,6-22; Psalm 17,1-3.6-7; Luke 9,46-50.
God supports in good things & opposes the evil.
God says to Satan, 'My servant Job is blameless& upright man who fears God & turns away from evil' (Job 1,8).
Satan destroys the property & children of Job. Job says, 'Lord gave & has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord (Job 1,21).
In this way Job shows his humility before God. On the other hand apostles are busy in arguing who is great among them.
Knowing their thoughts Jesus brings a child & tells, 'for the least among all of you is the greatest (Lk 9,48).
Then John says, 'someone casting demons in your name & we tried to stop him' ( Luke 9,49).
Jesus said, 'for whoever is not against you is for you' (Luke 9,50).
