After spending the entire launch weekend of my PlayStation 5 switching between my Astro A40 & MixAmp TRs (Gen 3) and the PlayStation Pulse 3D wireless headset, I think I have a much better appreciation for what the Tempest 3D engine on the Sony PlayStation 5 is trying to achieve. To best understand this, I tried numerous methods to connect my headphones, played very specific areas of video games with 3D Audio enabled, with 3D audio disabled, with my MixAmp, and everything in between.
