Not matter if you're live streaming with OBS, BeLive.tv, Wirecast, Twitch, or any other platform - the audio works the same.
If you're using a mic it's most likely that your audio is all going out through your mic so when you turn on a YouTube video, Skype, or a MP4 file... the audio goes out your computer then it's picked up by your mic and then the audio goes out.
That's why it's muffled.
You need to use a 3rd party program to push all your audio out through one source. In this video, I'll show you exactly how to set this up using a program called Loopback from Rogue Amoeba.
