Easy to Follow Blurry Text Transition Tutorial in After Effects
This tutorial is on how to create a blurry text transition in After Effects. Here’s a quick recap:
First add a Gaussian Blur to the text layer in After Effects. Then move time position indicator to the time when you want the transition to begin. In the Effects Control panel click the stopwatch icon next to “Blurriness”. Set the Blurriness to around 100 or whatever is right for you. Next move the time position indicator to the time you want the transition to end. Set the Blurriness down to 0 (zero).
With the layer selected now hit the “t” key. Click the stopwatch to set a keyframe. Move the time position indicator to the start of the transition. And change the Opacity to 0 (zero). That’s it!
