Shaoxing brings Wang Yangming’s philosophy into Asian Games
Wang Yangming (1472–1529) was one of the greatest masters of Confucianism in ancient China along with Confucius and Mencius. Born and buried in Shaoxing, a city in east China’s Zhejiang Province, Wang was greatly inspired and thus developing many of his thoughts there.
This year, as the co-host city of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, Shaoxing will bring Wang’s philosophy of “Unity of Knowing and Acting” into practice and ensure a successful sport event.
