We have an emotional connection to color, and using HSL./Color in Lightroom Classic, we can use color to enhance the emotional content in our photos. Also, color can be used to direct attention through use of saturation, luminance and hue of the colors.

Howdy! In addition to crafting YouTube videos about creating more interesting photos, I teach photography at Highline College in Seattle, Washington. I got my first camera in 1979 , sooooo, I’ve been on the journey to more interesting photos for over 40 years (yikes!)

I enjoy helping people (re)discover their creativity and expression through photography.

I’m available for individual and group photography coaching and training.

I’ve been a Fujifilm user since the X-T1, and am currently loving my X-T3 and my family of Fujinon lenses:
XF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6
XF 10-24mm f/4.0
XF 16-55mm f/2.8
XF 50-140mm f/2.8
XF 50mm f/2.0
XF 16-80mm f/4.0
XF 35mm f/1.4
