Череп солдата Красной армии найден поисковиками в местах под Ростовом, где летом 1942 шли жестокие бои с немецкими частями, рвавшимися на Кавказ. На голове бойца лики и фигуры Православных святых, Ангелов. Эта, безусловно уникальная находка, нуждается в глубоком осмыслении общества. Как говорят те, кто нашёл солдата - он лежал с винтовкой за спиной в траншее вместе с товарищем. Вокруг было много стрелянных гильз, что свидетельствовало о том, что бойцы вели непрерывный огонь по врагу.
«Для нас, поисковиков, давно и совершенно ясно, что все погибшие за своих товарищей, за свой народ, за свою Отчизну - святые, и эта находка лишнее тому свидетельство! А как проявились на черепе солдата, погибшего более 70 лет назад, изображения святых, ещё предстоит выяснить экспертам поискового сообщества и Русской Православной церкви».
