The modern building of the Vitebsk railway station was built in the Art Nouveau style in 1904. This building is one of the first public buildings in this style. At the opening, the station received an enthusiastic assessment from its contemporaries. The main (northern) facade of the station overlooks Zagorodny Prospekt. It extends from the clock tower (on the left side) to the lobby and the semicircular passage to the western facade.
