In this video we will calculate Ultimate and Allowable Load Capacity of Concrete Pile in Sand using Berezantsev Bearing Capacity Factor Chart.

Question: A 15 m long, 450 mm diameter pile is driven in a uniform deposit of sand(ϕ՛ = 40º). The water table is at a great depth and is not likely to rise. The average dry unit weight of sand is 18 kN/m3. Using Nq values of Berezantsev, calculate the safe load capacity of the pile with a factor of safety of 2.5.
