0.40 - Type Of Report Formats
Choosing the right report format is crucial for analyzing data effectively.
Salesforce Lightning offers four report formats:
✅ Tabular Reports – Simple list of records, like a spreadsheet
✅ Summary Reports – Group data with subtotals for better insights
✅ Matrix Reports – Group data both row-wise and column-wise for detailed comparisons
✅ Joined Reports – Combine multiple reports into a single view for better analysis
0:51 - Tabular Reports 📋 (Best for Simple Lists)
Tabular reports are the simplest format, similar to a spreadsheet with rows and columns.
Best used for creating lists, such as a list of students enrolled in a specific course.
Example shown: Viewing student enrollments as a list.
1:12 - Summary Reports 📊 (Best for Grouping & Subtotals)
Allows data to be grouped with subtotals, making it great for analyzing trends.
Example shown: Grouping data by course name to see the revenue per course.
1:30 - Matrix Reports 📈 (Best for Comparing Multiple Factors)
Matrix reports allow grouping both row-wise and column-wise.
Example: Comparing revenue by instructor and course by adding the "Instructor Name" to the group columns section.
1:50 - Joined Reports 🔄 (Best for Comparing Different Datasets)
Combines multiple reports into a single view for better analysis.
Example: Comparing Paid vs. Unpaid enrollments in the same report.
