Aviation Weather Center aviationweather.gov Updated Website New Tour 2023 for Pilots & Dispatchers
This video will teach you about the brand new AviationWeather.gov Aviation Weather Center AWC aviation weather website, launched in mid-October 2023! My favorite improvements to the site include:
Archive service to view the site up to 15 days prior
Map base layer configuration includes IFR and VFR charts
New home screen & saving your favorite METAR locations
Easy regional forecast discussion access
Generate static chart images on demand
Terminal weather impact tool
All of these new features are discussed in detail on this video.
I did find winds/temps aloft in text form here: https://aviationweather-cprk.ncep.noa... (as of October 16, 2023 they are still available). I have an email in to the AWC folks to ask about the location on the new site, as we use them for aircraft dispatch training.
