This time around there is actually a pretty large price difference between the 13900K and the KF. The only difference between the two is the lack of iGPU on the KF. As most people will be using a discreet graphics card with this expensive CPU and platform, I think it is worth it to save around 70 euros on the iGPU, if you aren't going to be using it.
One week ago or so I saw Audigy / Clock'EM UP! from Thailand reaching 6.2GHz daily stable on an ES 13900KF and it rose my interest. I wanted to see is there any clear overclocking potential difference between the 13900KF and the 13900KF.
I used the very same settings as on my 13900K First Impressions video and the end result was nearly identical. The stock VCore/VID was nearly the same, and the end frequency on the P-Cores was about the same. Only the E-Cores were clearly 100MHz worse and Cache also went happily over 5GHz. So I think it is just a luck of the draw on the CPU's silicon that how high can you go in the end. I think there is a clear quality difference between Raptor Lake Engineering Sample CPUs and retails. So do not expect that all retails will hit the same frequencies what reviewers are getting with their ES counterparts.
