Chances are a lot of the emails that come into your inbox are routine and predictable enough that they get handled pretty much the same way every time: you move them to a subfolder, you review the email, file the attachments in the document management system, etc.
If you could automate that filtering process – if Outlook could “set aside” these items for you automatically (without the risk of losing track of something important), would you feel better about the state of your Inbox?
The answer lies in Outlook’s Rules (a.k.a. Rules & Alerts) feature. Here, I show you how to set up a simple rule to flag an email based on the sender and some words in the body of the email.
