Louis Riel fought for our rights as Métis people during the Red River Resistance, and he paid the ultimate price for standing up for our rights. On November 16, 1885 Louis Riel was executed. Every year on the week leading up to November 16, we celebrate his legacy and his contribution to the Métis Nation.
Join us on Saturday, November 16 at 10:30 a.m. in the Alberta Legislature as we honour Louis Riel and those who fought with him.
