The fastest way to cross these 140 kilometres is, taking a one hour drive by taxi, which will take maximum 250 to 300 AED.
But the cheapest option is to take a bus, Either from Bur Dubai’s Al Ghubaiba Bus station, or Ibn Batuta Bus Station. Both of them are adjacent to Metro stations. Al Ghubaiba has Air-conditioned Buses for Abu Dhabi in every 15 to 20 minutes, which will take only 25 AED, which is less than 7 US Dollars.
While on a day trip the best way to explore the City is by taxi. you can also consider getting a Hop on hop of bus ticket for a day. Which will help you reach almost all parts of abu Dhabi hassle free.
Now when you are at Abu Dhabi, where do you start from?
We suggest you to start the day with the Presidential Palace, The Qasr Al Watan. This is one of the finest places to visit, not only in Abu Dhabi, but also in whole U A E. You will be mesmerised with the over-the-top interior design. The entrance is 60 AED per person, and this will take you around 2 hours to see, all of it.
Next stop can be, the Louvre Museum. Located on Shadiyat Island, the Louvre, is famous for its unique architecture and design. If you are not an art lover, and don’t want spend hours seeing art pieces, you can just pop by, to see its beautiful architecture and keep going with your day.
If sight seeing and high-rises are not much of your thing, then you can spend some chill hours at Saadiyat beach, which is also very close to Louvre.
You cannot miss the Fun, at Yas Island. Yas Island itself, is a fun paradise. If you are traveling with kids, Yas Island, will force you to extend your day trip by few days. But you can enjoy, at least one of the 3 Parks of Yas Island on your day trip. You can either enjoy, the Farari world, or your can relive your childhood, at Warner bros world, or you can spend your time, chilling with water, at the Yas Water world.
Alternatively you can spend your time, at Yas Mall, and explore Yas Marina and Yas Beach. And you can experience the indoor Skydive at Climb.
