On Banlists and Bad Experiences
Every elder Magic player has a story of when they first tried to play in a local game store and was unceremoniously crushed by a player twice their age or simply didn't find anyone willing to play with them and decided to just go home instead. We need to recognize that we are now the adults in the room and we get to decide the type of community that we foster. The recent banlist has caused a lot of different reactions and I think it's a great opportunity to reevaluate how we use Magic to build that community.
I recognize that the banlist and severe change in price of the cards therein have directly and negatively impacted many people. I sympathize with you and I fully understand if you need to walk away from magic or at least commander for a time. I only ask that you not engage in the destruction of the community that many still enjoy.
