We talk about our efforts towards making a quantum computer based on cold neutral atom on atom chips. In this video we talk about polarization spectroscopy, a related technique to saturated absorption spectroscopy to frequency lock the laser and reduce its linewidth. We use a rubidium (Rb87) gas cell as atomic reference, and show the laser locking in action.
The basic idea of the quantum computing scheme is here if you want to learn more about it.
