The newspaper evolved in 17th-century Europe with the advent of the printing press. The first regularly published newspaper, "Relation," emerged in Strasbourg in 1605. England followed with "The Oxford Gazette" in 1665, later becoming "The London Gazette." By the 18th century, newspapers had become a crucial medium for public discourse and information.
There was also a lot of funny and stupid stuff that got printed over the centuries. Kinda of like these days.
