The taskbar will now disappear unless you move the mouse to the appropriate area of the screen, when it'll magically just pop back up before your very eyes. On a tablet you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen at any time to make the task bar re-appear.
Go to start - settings - personalization - Taskbar
You can set to automatically hide the taskbar in desktop and table mode. Try it and let me know if that's what you mean.
