The Gibson 2012 Les Paul Studio, Wine Red is a 6-string electric guitar from Gibson's range of world famous Les Paul guitars. The Gibson 2012 Les Paul Studio, shown here in Radiant Red, features subtle variations from its previous models, such as a 60s slim-tapered Mahogany neck, 'Modern' Weight Relief and Push/Pull Coil Taps, while still providing a well-built electric guitar worthy of the Les Paul name.
The Les Paul Studio has a mahogany body with a carved maple top for a balanced tone and great sustain. The new 'Modern' Weight Relief design enables a comfortable playing experience. Its Mahogany, 1960s-style slim taper neck is topped by a Granadillo fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. The new Les Paul Studio has 490R and 498T humbucker pickups, which provide a rich, warm tone, while the Tune-O-Matic bridge maintains solid tuning and intonation. The inclusion of Push/Pull Coil Taps on the Volume and Tone pots enables splitting of the humbucker pickups to single-coils to offer a huge range of tonal possibilities. The 2012 Les Paul Studio is completed by chrome hardware, vintage tuners with pearloid buttons, black speed knobs and a black plastic pickguard.
