(In the Lifelink SMP when you join you are randomly linked to another player. When they die, you die, and when you die, they die. If you are offline and your partner dies, you will die when you join back. You can craft a link totem with a expensive recipe to reset all links. There is a bit more to it as well. Note - Damage is not linked, just lives)
