Open Telegram Desktop app.
Click on the Burger menu at the top left corner of the window. Choose Settings from the list. The new window will open.
Go to Advanced. Look for Automatic media download. You will see a list of options: in private chats, in groups, in channels.
Click on the option to edit the permissions. A pop-up will appear. If you want to disable photos downloads, turn the switch off. Click on Save.
Click on the next option you want to edit permissions for. For us it is Group chats. A pop-up will appear. If you want to disable photos downloads, turn the switch off. Click on Save.
The last option you can edit is Channels media files. Click on it. A pop-up will appear. If you want to disable photos downloads, turn the switch off. Click on Save.
