***UPDATED: Allegorithmic just officially announced the release of the Substance for 3ds Max Plugin with support for Vray!
https://evermotion.org/articles/show/...

Along with the release of Unreal Studio and Unreal Engine 4.19, users receive a substance plugin plus 112 free substance materials (created with a PBR workflow) to use. A substance plugin can be added to the engine and it allows access to the free substances via substance source, but it also allows the import of other .sbsar files from elsewhere, including your own files from substance designer.

In this tutorial I show the workflow of how to get access to all the new substance materials, plus all the substances that ship with 3ds Max as well (fairly specific to archviz). Any one of these PBR materials can be used in either program. Overall, Max and UE4 users have access to hundreds of high-quality materials that can also be manipulated for specific situations. You do need to other plugins to make all the materials work in various different programs.

In this video I show where to find all the free stuff, and also how to implement them in both 3ds Max + Vray, and in Unreal Engine 4.

Software Used:
Unreal Engine 4.19
Substance Plugin for UE4
Substance Plugin for 3ds Max
Allegorithmic Substance Source
3ds Max 2018 + V-Ray 3.6
