While I’ve ridden many “gravel” bikes over the years (they will always be cyclocross bikes in my mind…), I can’t recall ever having raced a proper gravel event. The Cascadia Super Gravel (https://www.downeastracingnw.com/) is well known as perhaps the most “mountain bike” of gravel events in our region. I had promised a friend that I would do this event with her last fall, and while she had to rescind her entry, I decided to go ahead and race it solo. And I’m glad I did!
For a bike, I used the best bike I’ve ever ridden- the Stooge Dirt Bomb, AKA the “Stupidest Enduro Bike:” • Is this the stupidest enduro bike?
