In this tutorial, I will show you how to set up LaTeX Workshop for Visual Studio Code on Windows to compile .tex files to PDF and preview them in the editor.
Note: Sorry about the editing errors. Some of the video clips ended up duplicated when they were sped up. Please note that any clip that appears sped up also appears at a normal speed later in the video so you can continue watching to see the parts that may have been too fast.
Steps:
0:00 - Install LaTeX Workshop
0:14 - Install MiKTeX
0:37 - Install Perl
2:58 - Reload VSCode
3:03 - Build LaTeX project
Before compiling a tex file to pdf for the first time, you must run the Build LaTeX Project command.
