Compound-X is about the start of the downfall of humanity, and a hunger within individuals for power.
Set in the 22nd century, after multiple wars, global crisis, and wildlife population dwindling. An ex-police officer known as 'Aleksei Smirnoff' gets dragged into working for the very government that made him jobless.
Aleksei is tasked to infiltrate a Mongolian research-site that has recently been constructed, as the government that tasked him to do this are detecting unusual amount of energy coming from the site.
An energy, that could possibly be a permanent source.
