This is the method I used to create a 3d printed underskull (as opposed to fiberglass or vacuumformed) for a costume mask being made by Tom Spina Designs. The 3d model was created off of a 3d scan of the client. In this tutorial I use the generic female head supplied with zbrush. At the end I quickly show how this technique could be used to make form fitting costume parts quickly if you have a 3d scan or photogrametry of your subject.
